PCB Parts on Demand - Part Data: 

I searched for ADA4940-2ACPZ-R7 at the Altium Content store and did not find the part.

I decided to try PCB Libraries - Parts on Demand and was pleasantly surprised to find the fpx file for this part was available.

I downloaded the ADA4940-2ACPZ-R7.fpx file and quickly created the footprint.

This QFN has pulled in leads and chamfered corner pins recommended in the Mfr Datasheet. 

PQFN50P500X500X100-33N

Corner pads were created using a circular pad, then Solid Regions were added to create the final pad shape, soldermask and paste.

DRC - Net Antennae - Paste in Hole

Paste in Hole Library (PIH) Solution.

Pad track extensions will be flagged during DRC checks as Net Antennae Violations.

One solution is to use Fills instead of Tracks to create the pad extensions.

Footprints - Clever Techniques

QFN-40 with Chamfered Thermal Paddle created using two Rectangles and one Octagon.

 

The Paste Mask on the three pads was eliminated using Negative Expansion Values




The paddle solder paste blocks were added to the Top Paste Layer using Fills.
